so, just like you have to take a picture in a ginormous clog when you are in amsterdam, you must, MUST eat fondue in switzerland. this is where fondue was invented! and though my husband wouldn't touch it with a ten foot fondue fork, I eat enough cheese for two people.
first, we got half bottles of the local red and white wine. delicious!
also, i like how the art looks like aboriginal art, but the vineyard is actually in switzerland.
mine came with a little salad to begin. pretend you're healthy.
this is the accoutrement! lots of bread, caraway seeds, onion and garlic, mushrooms, chives, poppy seeds...
so, you get your fondue pot. then, you mix in some of the accoutrement. i put in the onions and mushrooms, as the server suggested, and let them cook in there for a little bit.
then, you can take a potato... dip it in cheese, and roll it in the seeds. and it's delicius!

ryan got wiener schnitzel. that's a lemon slice dipped in paprika and chives!
yeah, i liked it.
